The 13th International Muslim Film Festival is a very cool event, so if you missed it, don’t miss it next year. The full-length and short films are really cool. One film that stands out is “The Monk and the Devil” by Dostal. I also really liked the local film “Baigyl” with Vdovichenkov in a non-leading role, where they showed our homeland, the Volga. The cinematography is simply top-notch. There is also the opportunity to chat with invited actors, such as Svetlichnaya, Kulagin, Garkalin, Basharov, Pletnev, and Mershko. Even Hollywood stars have attended past festivals. When asked about aging, Soviet film stars responded that at least we have the opportunity to see ourselves when we were young. Svetlichnaya doesn’t let herself relax, she’s always on diets, active, and participating everywhere. Here is a small selection of photos.
